NBA -- Denver 2nd half under 90.

NJ won with their 1st half play but I did not post it, so it doesn't count.

just for clarification purposes--how will moneylines be calculated?

0-0 record so far to date.

Money Line? Good question...

Let's say we convert all money line plays into a percentage unit play. For example, should you put out a moneyline play of +265 and it hits, you earn 2.65 units (like winning 2.65 games)...however, should you put up the reverse, say a play with a moneyline value of -500 and it loses, you just lost 5.0 units, or 5 games.

Fair enough?

BTW, good start to the challenge. I applaud your efforts.

So far, only yourself and Two_Headed_Monster has taken me up on this. This says a lot, given the large number of TOUTS in here.

CBB: North Texas +6
NHL: Phi/Atl under 5.5

for the record, I am not laying -3 with the niners game (I always buy off the 3) but I don't want to deal with calculating additional juice.

it's called line shopping. 20 was available at 5 books on the Don Best screen here at the RX. I'm sure there are many more books who also had 20. in the future, I will post the book I got the # at, if you would like.

If you wish. Also, I had that Flyers TOTAL @ 5.5U-130. Therefore, you are risking 1.3 UNITS, or 1.3 GAMES with this play. We gotta be straight on these. Hockey plays always involve moneylines along with pucklines, usually.

It's not too late to back out of this game, if you want GT is 5:05pm eastern

not going to calculate additional juice because it is too much of a pain in the ass. so i won't post anything in the future unless it is -110 or better. ok with you? after all, this isn't about units, but is about a percentage of winning plays. so I will also throw out moneylines and won't play them either.

3-3 for the day. takes me to 4-3 for the challenge to date. failed 2 point conversion cost me a nice day.

also, you may find your stay at the RX more enjoyable if you don't rile up DickyW. he can get crispy.

Like your ideas EXCEPT for the DickyW one. If he got the kahonies to rip my threads, I will not waver--my skin's as thick as they come.

Thanks, anyways.

You're just about at 60% right now...trouble is, it's only day 2 for you. /infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

NHL: Dall/LA over 5 +120
NHL: St.Louis/Nash over 5 -105
NHL: detroit/tampa bay over 5.5 +100
NHL: Toronto pick -120
NHL: Bos/Toronto under 5 +125
NHL: Carolina/atlanta over 5.5 -105

if you want to disallow the toronto pick before the puck drops because of the -120, go ahead. however, i thought the reduced juice on the other picks more than makes up for it.

fade away hammy
